Our Community

The Silver City Food Co-op collaborates with various organizations in

Grant County that promote the health and well being of the

people, animals and the physical environment of our community.

The Volunteer Center and the Co-op are currently working together

to promote the Nuevos Comienzos Community Kitchen, a state certified commercial kitchen open to the public to facilitate local food production.

We donate food each month to the Grant County Community Food Pantry in product and through the Chili Program that allows customers to donate to the Pantry through the Co-op, making it easy to assist the Food Pantry.

The Co-op is a member of the

Silver City/Grant County Chamber of Commerce

and the Green Chamber of Commerce.

The Co-op’s Round Up Program raises money for non-profit organizations by giving customers the opportunity to round their bill up to the nearest dollar.  By working with our member/owners and customers, the Co-op can donate much more to the community.

Community Donations

The Silver City Food Co-op is happy to help groups and organizations by sponsoring and/or donating money, gift bags, food and beverages in support of various community activities, organizations and events.

Classroom Tours of the Co-op

The Co-op encourages area classrooms to come and tour the Co-op and learn about organics and what cooperative are.
